PANTEIDAL FARMHOUSE & GATEHOUSE nestle in a picturesque wooded valley overlooking the Dovey estuary just half a mile from 'The Old Stables' apartments. The property consists of the main detached character farmhouse and a detached stone gatehouse, either of which you can rent separately or jointly. The Farmhouse accommodates up to eight guests, and the Gatehouse a further four.
The properties are set within 4 acres of grounds, comprising well established gardens with tropical plants and private woodland. There is a short circular walk in the woodland although most of the wood is on a steep hillside and can be challenging.
Please note that although the Farmhouse has a private garden that is very secure and child and dog 'safe', the garden shared with the Gatehouse has two ornamental ponds where children must be supervised.
The Farmhouse has been refurbished to provide 5 star quality accommodation, having three reception rooms and three bedrooms, all well appointed and with en suite facilities. The adjoining lounge and dining room have beamed ceilings and the snug has a huge inglenook fireplace.
The lounge is furnished with luxurious leather sofas and a matching chair, coffee and side tables, a large TV with freeview, and a CD/DVD player.
The dining room has a large oak table with leather chairs and an oak bench so that twelve guests can be seated.
Off the lounge is a conservatory overlooking the well established garden.
The kitchen is situated at the rear of the property and enjoys a south westerly aspect overlooking a private garden and has views of the estuary. It is fitted with Shaker style units and has a double oven, 5 burner halogen hob, dishwasher, microwave, and a large American style fridge/freezer. A washing machine and a dryer have been installed in the utility area of the hall.
A welsh oak staircase leads to the first floor incorporating three double bedrooms overlooking the front garden with side views of the estuary, and all have en-suite facilities, each bathroom having a bath with shower above.
Two of the bedrooms have two zip and link beds that can be made up as a super-king and a king-size. The third bedroom has a king-size bed.
There is also a sofa bed in the snug that can be made up upon request.
A decked terrace furnished with all weather rattan style sofas and a coffee table is accessed from the landing. This has wonderful views of the estuary and the neighbouring fishing lake.
The farmhouse is WIFI enabled.

Dyfi Osprey project. A pair of Ospreys nested on the estuary near Dyfi junction again this summer and reared three chicks. The ospreys have now all left for warmer climes but we’re hoping some, if not all, will return next Spring. The chicks have all been micro-chipped so are being constantly tracked. www.dyfiospreyproject.com Follow the updates on twitter...dyfi ospreys.

We would strongly recommend the Riverside Inn at Pennal. This is owned by Glyn, who used to manage the Penhelig Arms in Aberdovey, and his wife, Corina. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the food is really excellent. It is also very popular so it is wise to make a reservation in advance. www.riversidehotel-pannal.co.uk
